We all carry 3 three treasures of performance - 3 master regulators of mind-body connection - the same three that masters of old spent decades cultivating ashrams, forests, and temples.
These treasures transfer the virtues and capacities of the body into self-awareness and psychoemotional control:

The Power of Your Eyes [ Attention & Mental State ]- where attention goes, energy flows - an axiom as true about creative endeavor as it is about energy work and self healing. An athlete zeroing in on immediate target, a businessman ruthlessly selecting the 20% of efforts that matter and discarding the rest, a trauma survivor eliminating the people and environments non-conducive to healing. And the Jedi, harnessing singular focus to coordinate energy and achieve the impossible - awareness and placement of attention is a superpower.
The Power of Structural Alignment [ Posture, Mood & Emotion ] - balance and symmetry in the body, highly cultivated and under conscious control - holds within it the pains of stored memory and the potential for immediate self-renewal. It holds the power to connect body and mind in the present by reducing the stress of gravity imposing itself on an asymmetric frame, as well as the tensions generated to stabilize and distribute unconscious strain. In the absence of these forces, the nervous system can relax, the body can feel and heal, and the mind becomes alive again.
The Power of Your Breath [ Breathing, Emotional Regulation & Peak Performance ]- the grand regulator of sympathetic arousal and parasympathetic relaxation - it moves higher in the chest as fuel to fight or flee, and it drops into the abdomen when worldly pressures are removed and your highest serenity is expressed. In the mind-body master, the heights of cultivation allow for the serenity-breath amidst the direst of real world pressures - the epitome of the eye of the hurricane.
Together, these three treasures are superpowers that inoculate you against stress, and grace you with the novelty and mind body connection of children at play. When one or two are developed in isolation, health and happiness improve… in isolation.
But for those of you who have that dog in you, that fight for more in life, for those that are hungry to play the game to the max and endure all the pressures - the self doubt, the pain, the failure - that mark every story of ascent… for you my friends, you need all three.
- You need to understand the mind-body capacities that underly them.
- You can learn to activate them at will.
- And you can experience their coordinated power.
